RTT® HYPNOTHERAPY · RAPID TRANSFORMATIONAL THERAPY
You understand why.
It still keeps happening.
RTT® hypnotherapy works where insight can't reach: the subconscious beliefs quietly keeping anxiety, burnout, anger, or self-doubt in place.
WHY INSIGHT ALONE ISN’T ENOUGH
You can know exactly why you do something, and still do it.
You can name the trigger. You can explain the physiology to a friend. And none of it stops the moment the old response takes over.
That is how the subconscious works. The beliefs that shape how you react were often formed long before you had the understanding to question them, and they keep running until you work with them at the level they live.
COMMON REASONS PEOPLE SEEK RTT®
One method, a wide range of patterns
Whether your pattern shows up as anxiety, burnout, anger, low self-confidence, or self-doubt, RTT® works the same way: we go to the subconscious belief holding it in place, and we change it.
Stress and burnout
You know you need to slow down, yet your system won't switch off. Rest can feel unproductive, even unsafe, and the overwhelm stays because the drivers underneath, overworking, perfectionism, hypervigilance, are still running.
Anxiety and overthinking
Persistent worry, replaying conversations, anticipating problems that haven't happened. The mind won't quiet, even at night, even when there's no immediate threat left to solve.
Anger and emotional reactivity
You react more strongly than you mean to, often with the people closest to you, and feel the regret afterwards. Recognising the response is disproportionate doesn't change it.
Confidence and self-worth
Achievements and praise don't translate into feeling confident or deserving. Self-doubt, imposter feelings, and self-sabotage persist despite clear evidence of your ability.
Weight and eating patterns
You understand nutrition and still find yourself in emotional eating, overeating, or the same lose-and-regain cycle. The pattern sits below knowledge and willpower.
A stress response stuck on
Disrupted sleep, brain fog, low energy that rest doesn't fix. A body that has stayed in a protective, high-alert state far longer than the situation called for.
If your pattern isn't on this list, book the call anyway. I'll tell you whether RTT® is the right fit.
THE REFRAME
It isn't willpower. It's a pattern your system learned.
Someone who feels constantly on edge, despite meditation, breaks and every wellbeing practice they've tried, isn't failing at any of them. Their nervous system stays on high alert because of what it learned to expect.
RTT® goes back to where a belief was formed, not to relive it, but to understand the meaning your system made at the time, and to update it for the life you want now.
THE APPROACH
What RTT® actually is
Rapid Transformational Therapy, developed by Marisa Peer, is not a single technique. It's a structured process that combines several established approaches into one: hypnotherapy is the doorway, not the whole method.
Hypnotherapy creates a deeply relaxed, focused state, similar to the moment just before sleep, where subconscious material becomes easier to access.
Regression helps identify when and where a belief formed, not to relive it, but to understand the meaning your system made at the time.
Parts work explores internal conflicts, protective strategies and competing needs.
Cognitive and behavioural principles support building the new beliefs and responses.
Repetition, through your personalised recording, reinforces the change over time. This is neuroplasticity: new pathways strengthen with use.
Your subconscious acts as an autopilot, guiding habitual behaviours. It processes sensory information, evaluates rewards, and determines which actions are repeated or suppressed based on past experiences. This layer of your mind also shapes your beliefs, attitudes, and biases, often driving decisions before your conscious mind registers them.
YOU STAY IN CONTROL
This is not stage hypnosis and it is not mind control. You stay aware, engaged and in control the entire time. You cannot be made to do anything.
WHAT HAPPENS
What a session looks like
A free initial consultation
Thirty minutes to talk through what you want to work on and make sure this is the right approach for you.
The session, online via Zoom
Around 90 minutes. Together we find the experiences and beliefs behind the pattern, examine the meaning that formed at the time, and build a more supportive one in its place.
A personalised recording to keep
Made for you, to reinforce the new patterns in the days and weeks afterwards. The work continues after we finish.
THE CORTISOL CONNECTION
One dysregulated system, many symptoms
Many of the issues people bring to RTT® share one physical thread: a nervous system that has been braced for too long. When the stress response doesn't settle, cortisol stays elevated, and the effects show up everywhere. Waking at three in the morning, weight that's difficult to shift, brain fog, shorter patience, fatigue that sleep doesn't fix, getting sick more often.
RTT® doesn't work directly on hormones. It works with the beliefs and protective patterns that may be keeping the system on alert in the first place, so your body can stop bracing for a threat that ended a long time ago.
RTT® is not a substitute for medical assessment or treatment. If you're concerned about your cortisol levels or symptoms, speak with your GP. If you've explored the medical route and the pattern persists, the subconscious layer is often the piece that hasn't yet been explored.
A BIT ABOUT ME
I’m Gen
Before this work I spent years as a physiotherapist, much of it in respiratory and neurological rehabilitation. It was there I first saw how much the nervous system drives everything else. I became a certified RTT® therapist and nervous system coach because I kept seeing the same thing: the body holds what the mind has learned, and lasting change usually means working with both.
I've also been through my own period of panic, burnout and perfectionism. So when someone tells me understanding it hasn't been enough, I know that from both sides.
IN THEIR WORDS
What clients say
“
From the very beginning her professionalism was clear, and she created such a warm, welcoming space that immediately put me at ease. I came away feeling clear. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone seeking positive and lasting change.
— V, former client
Certified RTT® practitioner, trained by Marisa Peer · Registered member, IICT
“
If you are looking for a gentle, patient and knowledgeable hypnotherapist, look no further. Genevieve puts you at ease right away. Her calming presence and patient guidance helped me overcome my fears.
— Lorraine, Wellington
“
What stood out most was how safe and grounded she made the space feel. Her questions helped me connect patterns I hadn't fully understood before. Something shifted in how I see things now, and the recording has been a big part of reinforcing that.
— J, Canada
HOW I WORK WITH RTT
RTT® sits inside a wider piece of work
A belief can change in a single session. A nervous system that has been braced for fifteen years cannot. So rather than selling the session on its own, I combine it with two other elements: understanding what your system is doing, and building the capacity to work with it. Rapid and lasting are two different problems, and they need different work.

THE RESEARCH BEHIND THIS WORK
My practice draws on clinical hypnosis, breathing and nervous system regulation. These studies are on those underlying methods utilised in my sessions and are all peer reviewed reviews that pool many trials rather than single studies.
