RTT® PRACTITIONER & NERVOUS SYSTEM EDUCATOR
Hi, I'm Genevieve Gray.
Clinical training, and lived experience of what sustained load does to a body. I help capable people who understand their patterns but can't seem to shift them.

WHO I WORK WITH
Most of the people I work with look like they're on top of it. Capable, reliable, the one others lean on. And underneath, they're running on empty, wired at night, wiped out by day, carrying more than anyone can see.
You already understand your patterns. That hasn't changed them. My work goes to the layer where the pattern is actually held, so your system can respond to your real life instead of one that ended years ago.
HOW I CAME TO THIS WORK
The clinical training came first.
Ten years as a physiotherapist across neuro rehab and respiratory therapy. Stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, the patients in ICU whose breathing had to be relearned. Cardiac rehab and chronic respiratory disease on the other side. The slow work of helping a system rebuild after something has changed it. The thread underneath all of it was the body's protective wiring, and how slowly or quickly it learns a different pattern.
Corporate people leadership ran alongside, with everything that comes with leading teams through change, restructure and growth.
I didn't just study what happens to a system under sustained load. I lived it.
The personal context ran underneath all of it. Years of caregiving for a disabled family member while raising kids and holding a clinical practice. Sustained load is the fastest way to learn what happens to a system that's been running on protective patterns for too long, and what reaches the layer those patterns are stored in.
I came to RTT® through that route, looking for what reached the subconscious layer the body work alone couldn't quite touch. RTT® goes there. It changes the belief that's been running the pattern, and the regulation work holds the change while it settles in.
WHAT MAKES MY APPROACH DIFFERENT
Both layers, together
RTT® for the root, regulation for the body
Most approaches work on one layer: understand the pattern, or calm the body. RTT® works at the subconscious level where the pattern is held; regulation tools work with how it lives in your body. Both, together.
Evidence-informed, not wellness trends
Polyvagal theory, Somatic Experiencing, trauma-sensitive sequencing, and interoception research. Research-backed frameworks, not wellness trends.
20+ years in the NZ health sector
Respiratory and neurological rehab, corporate leadership, and long-term caregiving. I understand the system, the pressure, and the reality you're operating in.
Trauma-informed throughout
Safety first. Titration, resourcing, external awareness before internal. Your nervous system's capacity sets the pace, not an arbitrary timeline.
A clinical physiology background
Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy, Certified Hypnotherapist, and Registered RTT® Practitioner. I understand the physiology at a clinical level, and explain it in a way you can actually use.
EVIDENCE-INFORMED, NOT TRENDS
The work draws on polyvagal theory (Porges), Somatic Experiencing (Levine), trauma-sensitive sequencing (Maguire), and interoception research (Mahler). Research-backed frameworks, held with trauma-informed care throughout: safety first, titration and resourcing, your nervous system's capacity setting the pace, not an arbitrary timeline.

She created such a warm, welcoming space that immediately put me at ease. She took the time to truly listen and made me feel completely supported and valued throughout. It was a genuinely uplifting experience, and I came away feeling clear.
