I’m a nervous system regulation practitioner, RTT® practitioner, and former physiotherapist with over 20 years in the New Zealand health sector. I’ve worked in respiratory and neuro rehabilitation, led corporate teams through complex change, and spent many years in a long‑term caregiving role - which, to be honest, teaches you as much about the nervous system as any textbook.

So yes, I come with clinical training. But I also come with lived experience, a sense of humour about the messy bits, and a very human understanding of what it’s like when your system is under load.


We’re Both Human

I know what it’s like to:

  • hold the mental load for everyone

  • be the one who remembers the details

  • feel steady one day and stretched thin the next

  • react faster than you meant to

  • lie awake replaying conversations

  • feel like your capacity doesn’t match your intentions

Not because I read it in a journal article - but because I’ve lived it, worked in it, and supported others through it.

I don’t sit above this work. I sit in it with you - with clinical clarity about what’s going on physiologically, but also with a grounded understanding of how life actually works.


What's Actually Going On

Your reactions aren't random and they're not 'just stress.' Your system is protecting you the only way it knows how.

These are physiological patterns shaped by:

  • load

  • history

  • context

  • capacity

  • and long‑held beliefs + associations

When the nervous system is under pressure, it defaults to protective patterns. These sit beneath conscious control - which is why insight alone doesn’t always shift what happens in the moment.

Understanding the pattern isn't the same as changing it. Therapy gives you insight, regulation tools help you manage your state, but if the belief driving the pattern is still stored in your subconscious, your system keeps defaulting to the same response. This is where nervous system education and RTT® come together. One helps you work with your body in real time. The other changes the belief that's keeping it stuck.
