You know what you want to say, you've planned your response, and in the moment your body does something else. You freeze, you shut down, or you react in a way you didn't choose and can't take back.
Why this happens: Your nervous system operates beneath conscious thought. When it detects threat, it takes your prefrontal cortex offline - the part of your brain responsible for rational thinking, planning, and impulse control. That's why understanding what to do doesn't help in the moment. Your thinking brain has already been shut out.
You Swing Between Wired and Wiped Out
Some days you're wired, with racing thoughts, restless, can't sit still. Other days you're completely shut down, numb, exhausted, disconnected from everything. You never know which version of yourself you'll wake up as.
Why this happens: Your nervous system oscillates between hyperarousal (fight/flight) and hypoarousal (freeze/shutdown). It's operating in protective mode and can't find regulation. When your nervous system is stuck in protective mode, cortisol stays elevated, and that affects everything from sleep and energy to how you think and respond under pressure.

Standalone RTT® session
One 90-minute RTT® session to find the root of one specific pattern and change it. Anxiety, anger, confidence, eating, drinking, trust, sleep, chronic pain, the patterns that won't shift no matter how much insight you have. Includes a personalised transformation recording you listen to daily for 21 days and a 3-week follow-up call.
$450 NZD. Single session + follow-up.
EMBODY (10-week programme)
A 10-week 1:1 programme for people who are tired all the time, holding everything, or living in a body that won't switch off. Two RTT® sessions to find the root belief and change it. Nervous system education and somatic work to support the change in the body. Personalised hypnotic recordings, weekly practice, clinical assessment, and a 21-day post-programme check-in.

What is RTT?
Rapid Transformational Therapy® works at the level where your patterns are actually stored, the subconscious mind. This is where the beliefs that run your nervous system live, the ones your conscious mind can't reach no matter how much insight you have.
You can understand your triggers perfectly, articulate exactly why you react the way you do, and your body still does the same thing in the moment. That's because the pattern isn't stored in your thinking brain. It's stored deeper, in subconscious associations your nervous system learned years or decades ago.
RTT® uses a structured hypnotherapy process to identify where a belief came from and replace it with one that supports your life now. It works through neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to form new pathways, so your nervous system stops defaulting to protection when it doesn't need to.
In EMBODY, RTT® targets the beliefs that keep your system stuck: 'rest means laziness,' 'everything falls apart if I slow down,' 'I'm only safe when I'm in control.' The patterns that no amount of insight or willpower will shift on their own.

I've worked in the New Zealand health sector for over 20 years, including 10 years as a physiotherapist specialising in respiratory and neurological rehab, and a decade in corporate leadership all while caregiving for a disabled family member and raising kids.
This combination taught me about nervous system dysregulation from every angle - the clinical mechanisms, workplace stress and burnout, and the chronic, grinding stress of long-term caregiving alongside too many responsibilities. I didn't just study how nervous systems change with long-term stress. I experienced it.

Most people in therapy know exactly why they react the way they do, and their body still takes over in meetings, still won't let them sleep, still swings between wired and shut down. That's a nervous system problem, not an insight problem. EMBODY finds the root belief keeping your nervous system stuck and changes it using RTT®, then gives you the regulation tools to work with how that pattern has been showing up in your body.

No. If meditation made you feel worse, that's a sign your nervous system was in shutdown and needed activation, not more stillness. When you're already in shutdown, exhausted, disconnected, foggy, calming techniques tend to drop you deeper into it. In EMBODY you learn to read what state your system is actually in and match the right tool to it, rather than defaulting to 'calm down' and hoping.

Yes. EMBODY is delivered entirely online via Zoom, so you can be anywhere in New Zealand or internationally. All you need is a private space and reliable internet connection.

If you're experiencing suicidal thoughts, active self-harm urges, or psychiatric emergency, please contact your GP, Mental Health Crisis Line (0800 611 116), or Emergency Services (111). This work requires enough stability to engage with the material.
